There was a dog whose job was barking, jumping, and biting people. Anyone who went to the dog’s owner’s house was chased by the dog, who felt hungry to bite them. So, the owner tied a bell around the dog’s neck so that people would know that this dog is vicious and stay away from its territory. The dog was very happy with the bell and enjoyed making noise with it, thinking his territory had expanded. One day, an old dog approached and advised him, “Don’t be happy and proud of the bell hanging around your neck. This bell you are so proud of is a big disgrace. The noise it makes with your movements announces your infamy.”

Moral: Infamy comes with notoriety.
